Background Information and Reason for this Page
Serena is my daughter and is 12 years old. Her biological father is a dead beat dad and owes over $60,000 in child support. He has never seen her and his name is not on her birth certificate.
However, when she was born he contested that she was his due to the fact I was on state assistance and a single mother. A paternity test was done confirming he was 99.9% her father.
My husband, Charlie and I have been married almost 6 years and he would like to adopt Serena and she wants him to be her dad more than anything however, the cost is over $6000 and we cannot afford that at all. I have not worked in awhile, been ill and many surgeries the last 2 years and I'm waiting on my appeal for disability so we are surviving solely on my husbands income.
